After coming back from Cisco Live and then going on vacation to Traverse City Michigan it is now time to start implementing some of the things I learned in Las Vegas. My two immediate projects are upgrading to ACS 4.2 and a more robust easier to use Syslog server.
ACS goals:
- Migrate network equipment from using Windows radius services
- Ensure correct PEAP implementation
- Integrate ACS with Active Directory
- Create level of authorization to allow team members certain rights on network equipment.
Syslog goals:
- Move from current Windows solution to a linux syslog-ng solution
- Capture to a MySQL database
- Ease of migration and growth
- Reporting on certain events from equipment
- Give access to management on certain reporting functions
So that is what I will be working on the rest of July and some of August.
